Where can you help?
Here's a list to get you started. For more information, ask Pastor Dayton or a member of the Nominating Committee (Dale, Eleanor, Caitlyn). Don't let another week go by! Be available for what the Lord is doing at Northwest Community Friends Church.
BUILDING AND GROUNDS - Good stewardship of our facilities and grounds, including regular maintenance and special projects
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION - Sunday School classes for all ages, small group studies, etc.
JUNIOR CHURCH - Ministry to children during worship service
NURSERY - Helping with the littlest ones
MISSIONS - Relating to our missionaries, and communicating the challenge of Missions to the congregation
SOCIAL CONCERNS - Responding to emergency needs, annual projects, feeding the homeless, etc.
FINANCE HELPERS - Assisting the treasurer and secretary with church bookkeeping
COMMUNICATIONS - Sound, website, email, directory, etc.
VAN DRIVERS - Driving the church van when needed
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE - Special events (potlucks, etc.) and weekly coffee, refreshments, etc.
VISITATION, CARING FOR THE SICK - Work with Dayton and Sandy in regular visitation of visitors and those in need
USHERS AND GREETERS - Welcoming everyone when they arrive, and assisting in collection of tithes and offerings
GJ'S COFFEEHOUSE - Willing workers needed for set-up, décor, sound, kitchen, door, PR, etc.
MUSIC MINISTRY - Helping to lead congregational singing, or participation in “special music” opportunities (choir, bells, orchestra, solos, ensembles, etc.)
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit. There are different ways to serve the same Lord, and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do. The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others.
