Building Updates
The best way to stay current on reconstruction progress is to read our weekly newsletter, the Tucson Friends Weekly. This week's edition can be seen by clicking here - and features an update on proposed changes to interior walls and doors.
Info regarding church fire
Northwest Community Friends Church was the victim of an arson fire the morning of Friday, April 30th. The damage to the building is pretty extensive, and we anticipate that it may take up to six months before we'll be able use our building again.
At times like this, we must remember that "the church" is really the people, not the building - and that God can even use this kind of horrible act to bring about greater good, for His glory and honor, and for the strengthening of the body of believers.

In the News!
In case you missed it, The Explorer published a very nice article about our church on Wednesday July 7. Photos include one taken inside our temporary 5151 N Oracle facility. You can see it all here: http://tinyurl.com/28o6h9w
Then on Thursday July 15, the Arizona Daily Star published a great article about our GJs Coffeehouse ministry, called "Coffeehouse ministries work together - Rock 'n Java lets GJ's Coffeehouse use its facility for music shows in the wake of a church arson fire" For this article the writer interviewed me (Dale) and Dayton, and also interviewed Nichole Tucker with RockNJava at Alive Church. I really like how the article highlights cooperation between churches (as does the Explorer article, mentioned above). Here's the link:
